Intro to Handbuilding 6WK Series
Join instructor Megan Tyler in building a foundation of working with clay in this 6-week Intro to Handbuilding Series happening at The Bunkhouse Studios. There will be an emphasis on beginning basics of clay learning the various techniques available to you as a potter as well as opportunity for returning students to strengthen their practice. We will focus on producing finished pieces of various basic forms such as mugs, bowls, plates, and more using slab, pinch, and coil methods while utilizing other beginning assets such as wedging, imprinting, carving, scoring and extruder techniques creating a set of skills to build upon in the future ✔️
Series will go over vocabulary and a breakdown of the firing process - a great series to join for any level of potter!
Over the course of 6 weeks, the goal will be to complete at least 4-5 hand built forms of your choice - Bring your imagination to class!
